Tree of Life - 'Autumn' Original Artwork

My trees are a full canvas fluid art pour, I then hand paint over the top of the fluid pour and detail the outline of a tree.

I love creating my trees, they are such an important part of our landscape and have become an important part of me and how I express myself. Most people recognise that trees play an essential role in the environment, but they perhaps undervalue the true extent of these incredible organisms’ benefits. Trees provide oxygen and limit carbon in the atmosphere. They reduce air pollution, provide food and shelter for wildlife, minimise erosion and maintain healthy soil, increase rainfall, and absorb sunlight as energy. Simply, trees are an essential component of life on Earth.

I had named this tree ‘Autumn’. The name always presents itself whilst I am in the process of creating the tree/artwork. The week of finishing this piece some new paints arrived that I had ordered. Included were a gorgeous aqua and an amethyst, perfect for the leaves to blend with the background. The multicoloured leaves of course made me think of the autumn leaves when you drive through the hills. The gold leaves and the crescent (which is the aura of the tree) are painted with metallic paint which shimmers when caught in the light. A truly beautiful artwork.

This is a lightly textured piece with multiple layers underneath being the foundation for this tree. Four layers of varnish over the painting for protection of the artwork.

Framed in Tasmanian Oak and ready to hang.

As I live in a rural location, delivery is possibly 7-10 days as I have to co-ordinate with a city freight company.
